Bridal preparations can be such an emotional time. A time shared between you, your bridesmaids and any others present during the preparations. It’s a time to share nerves, excitement, memories and hopes for the day and the future.

Having a photographer there enables the laughter, tears and hugs to be captured. It means you and your bridal party are free to put down the phones (apart from the odd obligatory selfie of course!) and focus on each other and your preparations for the rest of the day.

Where you choose to get ready may vary from a bedroom at home to a beautiful hotel suite, either one has pros and cons but it is helpful to have enough space for it not to feel cramped with you all getting ready. A large and bright room is best as this ensures your make-up and hair can be viewed in the best light possible before leaving for the wedding. Somewhere to hang up the dresses is vital, and plenty of mirrors and plugs to aid the hair and make-up activities. A clean, bright room can also help to achieve the best photographs and why not ask your wedding photographer to help you find the perfect location to hang up your dress to capture it in all its finery before you change into it.
