RACHEL & LEWIS | THE OAK BARN | DEVON WEDDING
The Oak Barn wedding venue is one I photograph several times a year, so when I first met Rachel & Lewis I was thrilled to hear their choice of venue. These two had planned such an awesome day; I joined the girls in the morning where they were getting ready in The Linhay. The Oak Barn has plenty of space for both bride & groom preparations so I was able to go across to the Acorn Barn where the boys were getting ready and catch them too.
The ceremony was held in the church that backs on to The Oak Barn, it is a picturesque small church and with all of the bride & groom’s guests the atmosphere was perfect. After a beautiful ceremony Rachel, Lewis and I took a few moments to capture some stunning photos whilst the guests lined up for a confetti photo.
I loved the vibe throughout the whole day, the afternoon and evening was so much fun. Documenting the speeches and then the chilled evening was great. Rachel & Lewis has sorted some outdoor games for guests to enjoy as the evening drew in. Lewis’ brother had planned a surprise for the couple, with a spectacular fireworks display. I had been told about this a week or so before and was excited to see how it all unfolded. Just before we went to cut the cake Lewis’ brother jumped on the mic and announced that his wedding present for the couple had arrived and that everyone was needed outside to see it. Rachel & Lewis had no idea what was going on as they made their was outside but they were absolutely thrilled when the fireworks started.
I had a really great time documenting this wedding day, finishing it off on the dance floor getting lots of great photos of everyone dancing, as Double A & The Bay really got the party going. As always it was such a pleasure to be asked to be a part of this wedding and it was one I will remember.
