Laura & Phill’s Haldon Belverdere & Exeter Golf and Country Club wedding was an awesome day. I met Phill as he was welcoming guests at the Belverdere, you could feel the nervous energy building as more and more of the friends and family arrived. The Belverdere is a truly unique venue, with such a distinguishing shape and amazing stair case it is a really interesting venue to photograph.

The ceremony felt beautifully intimate in the small upstairs rooms of the Belverdere filled with Laura & Phill’s family and friends. Afterwards the bride, groom and I went up onto the roof to take photos with the stunning view over the South Devon countryside. After a few couples photos we headed down the winding staircase, where Laura & Phill were met by their family and friends for drinks out on the lawn.

After group photos and some more couples portraits, it was time to head to Exeter Golf and Country Club for drinks and time for the bride & groom to relax with their family and friends.

Speeches followed the wedding breakfast and were full of laughter from everyone. With some heart felt words shared (and some embarrassing stories) this was a beautiful moment in the day. As the evening reception kicked off, with more guests arriving, everyone moved into The Duckworth suite ready for the party to start. Bespoke Disco were on to bring the music for the evening and after Laura & Phill cut the cake they swiftly moved onto the dance floor to perform a brilliant first dance.

I loved documenting this wedding day; Laura & Phill are an awesome couple and I had a blast spending the day with them and their guests. With so many great photo opportunities at both Haldon Belverdere and Exeter Gold and Country Club this wedding was a pleasure to be a part of.
