Harriet & Rich’s wedding at The Barn At South Milton was an incredible day, I started off in the morning with Harriet and the girls in Salcombe where they were getting prepared. There were some nerves in the air but mostly a lovely fun atmosphere to the morning. Harriet’s wedding dress had been made by her mum, so it was a beautiful moment when she helped Harriet into it and did it up, you could see how much it meant to both of them that it had been made especially for Harriet.
We left Salcombe and joined Rich at South Milton church where he was welcoming guests and getting the last few bits sorted. It is a lovely country church and it felt just perfect for their wedding. After the beautiful ceremony, the guests welcomed Harriet and Rich out of the church with a beautiful confetti line down to their awaiting VW campervan. I then headed down to South Milton Sands with Harriet & Rich so we could capture some stunning couples portraits on the beach. It’s a beautiful location and it was quiet enough that we could capture some of the amazing views without people in the shots.
The Barn At South Milton wedding venue is a lovely barn with incredible views and lots of spaces for the wedding guests. When we got to the barn there were drinks and canapes as Harriet & Rich chatted to the guests in the sun, we then took some group photos in the field next to the barn, with the barn being our backdrop. Whilst we were taking some photos other guests were playing some lawn games that Harriet & Rich had put out on the field overlooking the sea. I always love it when couples have thought about some games or an activity for the guests to enjoy and this was no different, with the sun and the sea views it was the perfect location for some games.
After some beautiful speeches and lovely food from the hog roast that had been cooking outside all morning, it was back out into the sun for everyone whilst the room was turned around for the evening. The evening reception had such a fun atmosphere to it and you could tell the party was going to carry on into the night. Harriet and Rich had a beautiful first dance and then all their guest joined them on the dance floor to start the party.
It was such a privilege to photograph Harriet & Rich’s wedding day, the atmosphere throughout the whole day was awesome and so relaxed and I really enjoyed my time capturing the whole day.
