Fi & Claude’s Salcombe Harbour Hotel wedding was a brilliant day. Starting off the morning with the girls as they got ready, with a stunning view of Salcombe Estuary in the background, it was a really relaxed morning as they got their hair and makeup done. With the preparation happening at the hotel I took the opportunity to pop downstairs to capture the details. I made use of those moments to photograph the cake and the venue decoration, whilst the morning was unfolding.

I also headed back downstairs to get photos of Claude and some of the guests on their arrival. It is a great way to start to tell the story of the whole day and grab some early arrival shots. When the wedding is all in one venue I can easily capture the bridal preparations in their entirety as well as the venue details and guests arriving too.

The ceremony was beautiful and with the number of guests that the couple had invited, it had a lovely intimate feel to it. After the ceremony Fi & Claude where joined by their guests in the bar for drinks and canapes before we went outside to take some group photos overlooking the estuary, managing to take the formal group photos and some couples portraits outside with the amazing views behind.

Whilst the guests where being seated for the wedding breakfast it was time to capture some inside couples portraits with Fi & Claude using the interesting and beautifully themed bar area.

I loved documenting Fi & Claude’s Salcombe Harbour Hotel wedding, a really relaxed and informal day with an amazing group of wedding guests, it was such a beautiful day. It was a pleasure, as it always is, to be involved in their wedding day and to document it for them to look back on for years to come.
