EMMA & TOM | TORRE ABBEY SPANISH BARN | DEVON WEDDING
I had been looking forward to this Torre Abbey Spanish Barn Wedding for a while. I have known Emma the bride for years from when we were teenagers, so when they asked me to document their wedding I was thrilled. Emma and Tom are an awesome couple, super chilled and really fun to be around, so I knew their wedding would be awesome to be a part of.
I joined Emma and the girls at her parents’ house where they were getting ready. I was really surprised to find another old friend of mine was her bridesmaid, so as the morning went on we found a few moments to quickly catch up. The morning was really relaxed but also really fun, with lots of laughter and a few tears as Emma walked down the stairs to her parents and bridesmaids in her wedding dress.
The church ceremony was a really beautiful moment in the day: lots of smiles and laughs throughout and so heartfelt by all involved. They left the ceremony and spent some time out in the sun being congratulated by their family and friends before walking down the church path through a huge flurry of confetti and into their car to head to Torre Abbey Spanish Barn.
This Torre Abbey Spanish Barn Wedding was so picturesque. I love the venue and the grounds there and with stunning summer weather it was even more beautiful. The guests joined Emma & Tom for drinks in the garden, which for me was a great moment to capture some awesome candid shots of the guests enjoying themselves.
After drinks and formal group photos the guests headed into the Spanish Barn whilst I took the bride & groom for some couples portraits around the grounds. I love this moment of the day: the couple get a few moments to chill away from their guests and we can capture some amazing photos of the two of them too. .
After food and some incredible speeches it was time for the evening’s celebrations to commence. With guests out enjoying the evening sun the barn was turned around ready for the party. As the sun was setting, Tom, Emma & I took a few more photos as the light changed. The evening really kicked off as Tom & Emma took to the dance floor for their first dance. This was a super special moment as Emma, who is a singing teacher, had sung and recorded their first dance song. After the first dance, all the guests joined the bride & groom on the dance floor to party the night away with the live band.
I had an awesome time with Emma & Tom documenting their wedding at Torre Abbey Spanish Barn. It was such a pleasure to spend the day with them and their guests and I loved every moment of it.
