CAROLINE & DAVID | SOAR MILL COVE | SOUTH HAMS WEDDING

For me, this South Hams Wedding at Soar Mill Cove really is why I love photographing weddings. It was a super small, elopement style wedding; with the bride and groom, myself, the owners of the hotel to witness, and the two registrars. The ceremony was so relaxed with everyone getting into the casual but romantic feel of Caroline and David’s day.

The bride & groom had chosen elegant flowers with an amazing colour pallet, a great detail was that even their beautiful dog (who was incredibly well behaved throughout the whole wedding) had a flower collar. The ceremony being held in the main lounge gave a spectacular view out onto the cliffs and the sea, a magnificent backdrop for this stunning wedding.

This South Hams wedding, like many others I have photographed in this area, made the most of the dramatic scenery. After the ceremony the three of us, with the dog, walked down to Soar Mill Cove to spend some time taking some couples portraits on the sand. Featuring the cove on their day was important as it holds a special place in the bride and groom’s life; they have spent many hours holidaying in the South Hams and on this particular beach. We made the most of the stunning dark cliffs and the sea which was fairly calm that day.

This South Hams wedding was such an awesome elopement style wedding to be a part of and I felt so priviledged, spending time with Caroline & David, sharing in their special day and documenting it for them.
