ALI & MATT | UPTON BARN | DEVON WEDDING

This was my first Upton Barn wedding; ever since shooting Ali & Matt’s pre-wedding photos I had been looking forward to it and it really didn’t disappoint. I met the girls as they were getting ready in the morning,with the help of their hair and make up artists, Ali & her bridesmaids were having a wonderfully relaxed morning of preparations.

I arrived at the Barn as Matt and his groomsmen were welcoming guests, outside in the sun. The walled gardens at Upton Barn are stunning and it was the perfect place for Matt to greet people before the ceremony started.

The ceremony was held in the barn, with all of Ali & Matt’s friends and family watching on, it was a beautiful celebration. They left the ceremony into the walled gardens where their guests welcomed them with confetti. This Upton Barn wedding was blessed with perfect weather that and the incredible environment, made the drinks reception perfect. All the guests could enjoy the weather in the walled garden and when it came to formal photos and couples portraits, we were really spoiled.

After the wedding breakfast and some beautiful speeches the guests joined Ali & Matt back outside in the evening sun to enjoy more drinks and the beautiful surrounds. As sun set we took the opportunity to take more couple’s portraits in the beautiful light. Ali and Matt were fully into the swing of couple’s photos now and we got some beautifully relaxed looking shots of the two of them.

Matt & Ali had prepared a choreographed first dance to wow their guests, this was a stunning moment and made for some beautiful images. As the band started to play, guests joined the bride & groom on the dance floor ready to dance the night away.

I had an amazing day at Upton Barn documenting this stunning wedding. All of the family and friends there were awesome and really made the day a pleasure to be a part of.
