Rebekah & Mario had a beautiful wedding in Torquay, Devon. It was a gorgeous, spring themed wedding with English and Italian traditions included in their big day.
The day began at Rebekah’s house in Torquay, Devon. It was a wonderfully relaxed morning of preparations, with some great photo opportunities. The bridal preparations were well underway, along with her two sisters-in-law, who supported Rebekah on the day as her bridesmaids.
I went onto meet Mario at Upton Vale Baptist Church in Torquay, where their wedding ceremony was taking place. It was a ceremony full of love, smiles, laughter and God. Mario’s family had travelled from Italy and a translator meant his family could fully participate in the ceremony too.
I love how nowadays weddings can be shared with people who can’t be present, Rebekah’s cousin from Canada watched the whole wedding on Skype; it’s incredible that he could share in their special day from so far away.
After the ceremony Rebekah, Mario and I went to Meadfoot beach in Torquay, Devon to take some portraits. Torbay has stunning locations for wedding portraits and Meadfoot beach is definitely one of the top locations. We captured some stunning photos of them both and Rebekah and Mario enjoyed having a few quiet moments to themselves after the ceremony.
After couple’s portraits we drove to the reception venue at Stokeinteignhead Village Hall on the outskirts of Torquay, Devon. The couple, their friends and family had put considerable time and effort into the venue decorations. There were some absolutely beautiful touches and they really made Stokeinteignhead Village Hall their own for the day.
Stokeinteignhead Village Hall is a blank canvas so a great wedding venue for couples to stamp their own personalities on and in such a picturesque area of Devon.
The sun came out again for formal group photos after the wedding breakfast and speeches. Mario’s speech in Italian was translated for the English speaking guests; such a precious moment as you could see how much it meant to his family to be included in such a heartfelt way.
Rebekah and Mario had For Josie, the band, playing their evening reception, such a talented pair, so full of energy and great at getting people up and dancing the night away.
Rebekah and Mario’s wedding was so charming/delightful, it was a real privilege to be invited to photograph it. Everything throughout the day had personal details that really set their wedding apart and made it very much their own.
Congratulations to the newly weds Mr and Mrs DiMolfetto
