Nicole & Ben's Lord Haldon Hotel wedding was such a beautiful occasion. The day started at Hotel Du Vin where Nicole was getting ready with her bridesmaids. The atmosphere was super relaxed with lots of laughter.
It was a relaxed and really intimate morning with just Nicole, the bridesmaids and her daughter. Having two spaces for them to prepare and dress meant they weren't rushed or cramped.
I left to get to the Lord Haldon Hotel just before ladies made their entrance. This gave me some time to capture a few informal shots of the guests on arrival and to be ready for when Nicole and her dad arrived.
The wonderful personalised ceremony was full of tears and laughter and you could tangibly feel the love in the room, both between Nicole & Ben, the rest of their family and their friends.
There was an outside drinks reception after the ceremony, allowing everyone to enjoy the fabulous weather and take in the amazing views out into the countryside. The Lord Haldon Hotel has attractive gardens which, with the weather and the view, the guest took full use of. The surrounding landscape made for some beautiful couples portraits as well as some formal ground shots.
The evening reception was relaxed with guests being able to sit outside and enjoy the weather well into the evening. In this informal setting I had lots of time to capture some great documentary photographs of the evening and its festivities.
It was a beautiful day and such fun to be a part of and capture. There was lots of time to document the day in a very reportage style which I love and really think tells the story of their wedding day. Thanks Nicole & Ben for the opportunity and privilege to document your day.
