Naomi and Jordan's Torquay wedding was an awesome day, with such a fun couple and a wonderfully celebratory mood, it was hard not to get swept away in it all. The day started with the bridal preparations at their new house, where Naomi and the girls where getting ready. It was relaxed, the house full of excitement with quite a few people dropping in to offer their congratulations, throughout the course of the morning.
I took a little time away from the girls preparing to go and meet Jordan, with his groomsmen, who were getting ready at his family home. The guys were again nice and relaxed but you could feel the nervous energy too.
The service was at Riveria Life Church, a beautiful ceremony full of emotion, the love in the room was tangible. Jordan's father married them, as he is the pastor of the church, this made it even more special for Jordan and Naomi. They had many of their family and friends involved in the service, playing in the band or giving readings. One moment that really stood out was when Jordan's bestman read a poem that he had written; it was a beautiful, personal and funny poem and really gave the guests a taste of things to come with his speech later in the day.
After the ceremony Jordan, Naomi and I went to take some couples portraits on the coast at Thatchers point and Meadfoot beach, striking scenary for a Torquay wedding. We had beautiful weather so captured some stunning photos. We then proceeded to The Imperial hotel, Torquay where they caught up with all the wedding guests before taking a few more couples portraits in the grounds and some beautiful formal photos on the balcony overlooking the Bay.
The afternoon and evening receptions were brilliant, with a great atmosphere throughout, the guests had a great time. There was some beautiful and hilarious speeches given which had everyone in stitches. The evening was accompanied by the band Mammoth, of which Naomi's brother is the drummer so it was particularly special for him to get to play at his sister's wedding. The band really did bring the party alive, with the dancefloor full from the first dance well into the night.
Jordan and Naomi's Torquay wedding was a spectacular day with real depth of emotion throughout and a great atmosphere. I really had an awesome time capturing it so thanks for the opportunity Jordan & Naomi.
