I have photographed some beautifully intimate Devon weddings this year, Joanna & Jonathan’s wedding was no different. With just a handful of close family members attending their wedding ceremony in the registry office at the stunning wedding venue Cockington Court, Torquay. Here are some of the highlights from Joanna & Jonathan’s beautiful day which I hope will show you just how amazing an intimate wedding can be.
The registry office at Cockington is in the historic manor house of Cockington Court with beautiful surroundings and on Joanna & Jonathan's wedding day we had gorgeous weather to accompany this stunning setting. Joanna & her father arrived at Cockington Court in a amazing vintage car driven by a family friend. You could tell just how much being driven by a close family friend meant to Joanna.
The ceremony was short but personal with readings by family members on either side. After the ceremony we took some time to capture some beautiful family portraits to celebrate and then Joanna, Jonathan and I spent a few moments to take some stunning couples portraits in the rose garden and surroundings of Cockington Court.
We left Cockington Court and headed to Gidleigh Park House Hotel on Dartmoor. This is an absolutely amazing wedding venue with beautiful grounds to capture some lovely moments in. With the weather being so great the guests made their way out into the garden straight away to enjoy the views and the brook at the bottom.
We took a little more time to capture some photos of Joanna & Jonathan, as it was so picturesque. After this I had the opportunity to document precious moments as they unfolded between all the guests.
It was a delightful day to be a part of; small intimate weddings can be such fun to capture, as the story the photographs tell can really show the personal touches and moments in the day.
