I love travelling to weddings outside of Devon, getting to photograph new venues and meet some amazing people too. This wedding was no exception, back in the place I called home for years growing up, photographing the wedding of a family who I have known for years. Bethan and her family are family friends so travelling up to Cardiff to photograph her wedding was a really special occasion. Their wedding ceremony took place in Ararat Baptist Church, with the Ceremony at Rhiwbina Baptist church. There were so many amazing D.I.Y touches that Bethan, Sam and their friends had invested time in arranging and producing. I hope this wedding gives you some great D.I.Y wedding inspiration.
The church for the ceremony had been decorated beautifully by Bethan, Sam and friends with bunting across the balcony and come beautiful crates at the front of the church to display some stunning flower arrangements. The ceremony was full of amazing moments of emotion that were caught to create some great photographs.
The reception venue was beautifully decorated just like the church, with some amazing hanging decorations and stunning centerpieces for the tables. You can tell Bethan had a clear theme in mind from the start and it was exciting to see all the aspects collaborate to help achieve the vision she had imagined. The reception was a really relaxed affair with lots of great moments to capture and as we moved into the evening more guests arrived and the atmosphere really did turn into a party. Bethan is a dancer so their first dance was something really special; a privilege to capture.
The whole day was filled with amazing guests, a beautiful wedding couple and decorations that looked amazing. It was a privilege to be there to capture each moment for Bethan and Sam and I really enjoyed my day spent with them and their wedding guests.
