AMY & JOE | THE GREEN CORNWALL | CORNISH WEDDING

This wedding at The Green Cornwall was only two days before Christmas but Amy & Joe’s wedding was a perfect and super classy winter wedding.

I met Amy and the girls at the venue where they had stayed the night before, Amy had already been out for a morning run and the preparations were well underway when I got there.  The girls had both a hair and a makeup artist there to help them get ready which really helped keep them relaxed and on time for the wedding.

With the girls busy getting ready I went across to the ceremony room and reception room to capture some of the details that were already put out before heading back to the bridal preparations to get Amy’s bridesmaids doing up the back of her wedding dress.

The ceremony was in a stunning long barn which Amy and Joe had filled with their family and friends.  It was a beautiful ceremony with lots of smiles, laughter and a few tears as well, you could really feel the love in the room.

After the ceremony, Amy & Joe wanted to get a whole group photo outside before the guests retired into one of the other barns for some drinks and accompanying music.

Before the wedding breakfast and speeches, I took Amy & Joe for a little walk around the grounds of the venue to capture some stunning couples portraits. There is so much space at The Green Cornwall which meant we could get some really varied images. Amy & Joe were so relaxed and natural in front of the camera, just focussing on each other, I really think it shows in the photos of the two of them.

The speeches from Amy’s father, Joe and his bestman were great, super heartfelt, touching and funny at times too.  After the speeches guests joined Amy & Joe back in one of the other barns whilst the room was turned around for the evening reception.  It is great having so much space at The Green Cornwall, there is no need for guests to be stood outside if they don’t want to be as there is always one of the stunning barns available to use.

The evening reception started with Amy & Joe cutting the cake and then they went straight into their first dance.  After the first dance, the dancefloor was full of guests ready to dance the night away and Amy and her dad shared a dance together which was a beautiful moment.

As always it was a pleasure to be documenting such a stunning wedding, I had a great time with Amy, Joe and their guests and I loved my first wedding at The Green Cornwall.
